We were offline for about 30 minutes from 22:10 to 22:40 (GMT+2). This was unscheduled. The main reason was a problem occuring during maintenance work (performance tuning) on our new servers.

There is still some more maintenance work, but next time we will inform you beforehand. Normally this type of maintenance work shouldn't affect the blogs themselves, but this time it did.

Our sincerest apologies for the inconvenience caused

Before you had to use a combination of username.password@subdomain.kaywa.com.
Now you can use whatever you want before the "@".

Go to your Administration interface (http://subdomain.kaywa.com/admin). Then click "Edit Author". The third line after username and password is the moblogging address (see image). Just write whatever you want before the "@".

This way you can give out your moblogging address to your friends, without giving them access to your weblog. A good scenario is a party where you want to encourage people to send their MMS to your weblog. After the party, you just change the moblogging address again, so that others can now longer post.

Since our server move which went in general quite well, we still have to do some fixes and not all works yet at perfection. We are working on it.

Our servers were offline earlier this morning between 4 am and 7 am (GMT+2) . During daytime the weblogs were sometimes rather slow as well.

Due to a massive trackback spam not yet filtered out with our blacklist, we had to disable momentarily all trackbacks.
We will check the incoming trackbacks against our blacklist and filter out all existing SPAM trackbacks for the next three weeks.

When the trackbacks are back, we will inform you again via http://blog.kaywa.com

Trackbacks and pingbacks will then be disabled per default.
Every user has to enable trackbacks and pingbacks by himself.
As with comments you will get an email when a trackback or pingback is sent.

The blogging admin of some KAYWA weblogs were temporarily down yesterday night and early this morning due to the release 1.4. It's working again since 7 this morning. Our apologies.

We will inform about all the new things in release 1.4 as soon as possible.

We also move our servers on May 6. The blogging admin will be deactivated from May 5, 12 p.m. to May 6, 6 a.m.

This Monday, Release 1.4.1 will go live.
The Change is scheduled for Monday, May 2, 12 p.m. midnight (GMT+2) till the early morning hours.
