Vom Code auf Papier zum Inhalt im Mobiltelefon
QR-Codes für europäische Handys
Das mühsame Eintippen von Informationen auf dem Handy ist Vergangenheit: die Technologie der Quick Response Codes erlaubt es, mit der Handy-Kamera Informationen in Sekundenschnelle einzulesen. In Japan sind solche QR-Codes überall anzutreffen, mehr als 50 Millionen Menschen täglich holen sich dort Informationen wie Telefonnummern, Adressen von mobilen Sites oder andere Kontaktdaten auf ihr Handy, indem sie die quadratischen Punktraster per Tastendruck decodieren. Nun wird dies auch mit Mobiltelefonen in Europa möglich.
Kaywa, die Schweizer Firma für mobiles Internet, hat zusammen mit 3GVision den Kaywa Reader für Europa entwickelt. Die Handy-Software kann kostenlos auf
http://reader.kaywa.com heruntergeladen werden. Während QR-Codes für den privaten Gebrauch auf
http://qrcode.kaywa.com ebenfalls kostenlos erstellt werden können, steht für den kommerziellen Einsatz von QR-Codes ein API (eine dokumentierte Programmierschnittstelle) bereits zur Verfügung. Eine umfangreiche E-Business-Plattform ist in Vorbereitung.

The old framework of Kaywa (about 10% of the whole infrastructure) took a dive earlier this night and went silent. Our valiant Vali took immediately his car (around 8:20 pm) and went to the servers. As it was not an easy task, it took him longer than expected to fix all the issues.
So thank you Vali who missed the game (Zizou respectively France won by the way) and
our dearest apologies to all who wanted to read or post before or during the game.
We are transferring all blogs from the old to the new framework, but it takes time. At the same time, the growth rate on all frameworks is constantly high. As an example I just want to mention the
football blogs which you can find here. Some of them just added 4-5000 visits a day from day one.
