We said we are working hard on improving our server situation and a first step will take place today between 11h30 and 12h30. During this time servers will be down for a few minutes. We apologize for any inconvenience...

Additional features of yesterday's release are:

• Better multi-language support. You can now run several languages side-by-side. Compare for example patrice.kaywa.ch/en with patrice.kaywa.ch/de. Please contact us if you want this functionality for your weblog.
• GeoURL support. In the weblog settings you can now set your coordinates.

We will do some server maintenance today, July 22 after 9 pm. This changes are necessary to improve the performance of the KAYWA system. The site should be available the whole time, but a few short hiccups may occur.

The new Release includes:

• Comment RSS: Every blog has now a RSS for comments. You find it at: http://subdomain.kaywa.com/comments.rss
  (Example: moland.kaywa.com/comments.rss)
• New language version: Serbian (sr)
  Go to Settings > Blog > Choose Language > Choose "sr" and then reload your browser
  Btw. Croatian is in the pipeline
• Finally KAYWA supports the MetaWeblog API
  Drop us a note if you want to use it.
• Small Business weblogs ships now with second level navigation.

Some cool Features:

• Static pages with 2 navigation levels
• Blog filed under «Aktuell» (News)
• Blog has no comments, but a direct feedback possibility (this is naturally customizable)
• Design by Kaywa according to wishes from customer
• RSS feed with explanation
• Pages with update mention

Tomorrow around 9-10 o'clock Swiss Time, we will have to do some maintenance work (performance tuning) during day time as announced previously.

Normally this shouldn't affect the weblogs, moblogging etc.

We were offline for about 30 minutes from 22:10 to 22:40 (GMT+2). This was unscheduled. The main reason was a problem occuring during maintenance work (performance tuning) on our new servers.

There is still some more maintenance work, but next time we will inform you beforehand. Normally this type of maintenance work shouldn't affect the blogs themselves, but this time it did.

Our sincerest apologies for the inconvenience caused

Before you had to use a combination of username.password@subdomain.kaywa.com.
Now you can use whatever you want before the "@".

Go to your Administration interface (http://subdomain.kaywa.com/admin). Then click "Edit Author". The third line after username and password is the moblogging address (see image). Just write whatever you want before the "@".

This way you can give out your moblogging address to your friends, without giving them access to your weblog. A good scenario is a party where you want to encourage people to send their MMS to your weblog. After the party, you just change the moblogging address again, so that others can now longer post.
